1. Applicants are required to complete and print online application forms as well as to print the Acknowledge Slip and Receipt after making payment. Online application form can be accessed via https://immigration.gov.ng/.

APPLICANTS ARE ADVISED NOT TO PAY TO ANY THIRD PARTY. ALL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ONLINE THROUGH https://immigration.gov.ng/

2. THE PAYMENT is at a flat rate of $162 irrespective of age and gender

3. All passport applicants are required to be physically present on the appointment date obtained from the immigration website after online payment

4. Once the payment confirmation email is received, go to the Portal home page. In the application menu, click on the Query Your Application Payment Status option. Select E-Passport in the application menu and enter the Reference Number and Application ID. Click on the Search Record button. The next page will be the Online Application Confirmation page

5. On the Online Application Confirmation page, scroll to the bottom of the page and print the Payment Receipt and also print Application Confirmation. Attach these documents to the expired passport, or to the rest of the application documents (first issuance).

6. The applicant should appear at the Nigerian Embassy on the appointment date, with his or her expired Nigerian passport and required documents. If the application is for a first issuance, and the applicant is under the age of sixteen, the following requirements must also be met.

Applicants above 18 (Eighteen), born outside Nigeria are required to provide the following:

6. Photocopy of parent passport data page. ONE OF THE PARENTS MUST BE NIGERIAN

7. Duly completed & endorse guarantor's form

8. Guarantors' particulars:

• a. Copy of valid passport data page
• b.Copy of either national ID, drivers' license or voters' card
• c. Two recent passport size photograph

9. Indigene Certificate.

2. Translated police report and court affidavit. Which must include names and lost passport number.

3. Submission of completed online e-passport application form (The link to the online application is in paragraph 7 above.)

4. Applicant should provide Passport Number of lost Passport (if applicable)

6. Handwritten letter of application, addressed to the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters, Abuja.

Note: Passport can only be issued after approval from Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters.

Application can be received at the Embassy for onward submission to the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters for proccessing and approval after all criteria has been met as provided. For further information, please visit the NIS website (https://immigration.gov.ng/)

E-PASSPORT OR E-PASSPORT RENEWAL

STEP 1:

Go to Nigeria Immigration website at (https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/)

STEP 2:

NIN verification for Renewals/Re-issue, fresh passport application uploaded

STEP 3:

Passport number verification number uploaded

STEP 4:

Fill the application form to apply for renewal/re-issue or fresh passport. Choose ANKARA as your Processing Office/Processing Embassy

STEP 5:

Upload passport photograph with white background

STEP 6:

Upload supporting documents i.e. birth certicate, police report for lost applications, consent letter for under 18 and any supporting documentation such as indigent ship etc.

STEP 7:

Proceed to make payment

STEP 8:

Book for passport appointment

STEP 9:

Once the application has been successfully submitted, you will be provided Reference number and Application ID
